Have you had any breakthroughs with your hair algae control? I still saw a few patches in the video but only because I was looking for them. Overall it looks pretty well under control.
Any specific control methods you found to be more effective than others?
Mostly manual removal and I also feel keeping my nutrients low is doing the most for the tank. I feel like even at 0-0 my corals are as happy as ever, maybe slightly pale but still full of color. I think that's where the phytoplankton/oysterfeast dosing comes it. I get the phyto from OGFrenchHorn and I think that could also be helping since one strain reduces silicates. I've also been staying on top of my RO/DI system and running silicabuster cartridges changing at 0 TDS.
From there it's clean up crew. It took some time for my tomini to stop harrassing my lawnmower blenny and my small sailfin finally started to pick at the rocks as well. My seahare is still kicking but I think I'm going to pass him on to another reefer here soon, he's gotta be running out of food now. Keeping a close eye on it.
