Time for that post.

unfortunately my beloved desjardini sailfin tang is growing a bit too large for my current tank, and I don’t think an upgrade is feasible at least this year.

the tang has been QTed, been with me 3 years ish, is around 8-9 inches give or take.

very peaceful (almost shy), with no blemishes or scars. Eats everything from nori to pellets. Super fat as well

never had any diseases, he just needs more room.

looking for $120 for him; FCFS, only looking for buyers with at least around 180 gallons minimum ready for him.

I do need some time to catch him after confirmation, pick up will be curbside in Irvine. I do hope I can find a buyer flexible with time this weekend so I can minimize travel/in between time in the bucket for him.

I plan to hand him over in a 5 gallon bucket; if you have a battery powered aeration system, would be great to bring for the car ride (might not be necessary)

thanks again.

I will be around Tongs around noon tomorrow if that works as well. I will keep the Naso around a bit longer since it’s a bit smaller and I’ve gotten too attached to it.

can also take trades in some cool Goni/mushroom/zoas

My sailfin is as big as yours, if not bigger. I already have 2; otherwise will take him. I’ll wait for the naso (already have 2 that size) ;)

Yours were definitely a bit bigger if I remember!

Hopefully I don’t have to give up my Naso anytime soon :(

It is a bit smaller and a lot calmer so it doesn’t destroy my SPS by swimming all over the place

I'm so surprised when people say this, mine is the tank bully. He's always fighting with my peaceful one-spot foxface lol
Guess I’m lucky - mine is 9”+ and fat! He’s actually bigger than the French angel, which is also very peaceful. The bully in my tank is actually the Blue/Queen Angel, chasing others around.

Keep them well fed and have plenty of rocks to hide and they should settle in fine. Or I’ve just been lucky! ha

I think it helps that you have so many big fish so it definitely spreads out the aggression!

The Tang has been rehomed!

Was surprisingly easy to catch, took 30 seconds and got him on my first try without a net.

Was worrying about nothing it seems.
