I thought I'd share this here since I'm having moderate success with a new LFS rescue. I recently got an orange spotted filefish because I couldn't bear to watch him worsen at the store. I didn't post here before since it's not a local board for me and I was requesting feeder corals, but the original thread is here if you're interested http://www.sdreefs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50335. Hopefully I'll be able to give this guy somewhat of a decent life.....he's doing good so far and happy.....I love this fish! :D

sorry for the crappy P&S pic, the Canon is temporarily out of commision. Had to give him a Charger name, appropriate I think

These guys feed on acros in the wild.....prolly why most people don't/can't keep them. I'm more of an LPS and softies reefer, so I've been trying to aquire people's unwanted acros for him to munch. He is also eating frozen and live brine, though it's not very nutritious. As you can see he's still pretty thin.....I just want him to get FAT ;)

that is a crazy looking fish and what is more crazy he feeds on acros, I never thought they could be healthy have to try one:top:
