Happy Friday to all....
My tank is an in-wall tank that sits in the closet under the stairway to the 3rd level of the house. I'm thinking about sticking a stand alone AC unit in the closet for those hot days and also let me run my 250 watt HQI bulb a little longer. Plus they're also dehumidifiers...
There's another small closet right next to tank closet that used to house the HAVC unit but we moved that up to the attic. The exhaust vent is still there so I can run the exhaust from the stand alone right to it, about 6 feet away.

Has anybody done anything like this? It sounds like a good idea....what do ya think?

I would think that just blowing the heat out of the tank area would make a profound improvement.

A few fans do help and with the AC on and limited MH time it's just fine. Its during those times when it's just not hot enought to run the AC is where its needed.

Here's the part where you say it's a great idea because I'm looking for any excuse to get one of these units for my bed/reloading room ;)

Sounds like a good idea in that case, but how does getting one for you bed/reloading room help the aquarium? Sounds like you need two.

Hey Steve, do you still have that 250 watt mogul base pendant?
I think I read that you had one and offered to a member here or at RC..

Please let me know.
