Is it ok for me to add any additives or salt to the ATO reservoir. I'm not talking a lot of salt, just enough to make up for the amount I seem to lose very slowly. I'm just wondering if there is some bad reactions that would happen or anything else I can't predict. Thanks.

I use to add my buffer to it... now I add my mag to the top off. All depends on what you dose and how much you add... I wouldn't add salt to the rodi for top off though... Just my opinion. You shouldn't be losing any salt from evaporation...

What do you use to measure your salinity? Do you use a refractometer that is calibrated with each use using 35PPT water?

And do not add salt to top off water. I did that and went to a salinity of 1.032. If youre using a hydrometer, do yourself a favor and junk it. Another one of my mistakes.

If youre losing salt it may be due to your skimmate
