Could use a little advice on dialing in my skimmer that's been running for 7days on my Cadlights70. I currently have it set to where the blue dot on the flow handle is on the max setting, but skimmer continues to 'overflow.'

Tank parameters:

Temp 81
SG 1.025
Nitrite 4
Nitrate 50
Ammonia 0
PO4 0.1
PH 8.15
Calc 480
Alk 8.9dkh
MG 1470

Using Salifert test kits expect for Alk (Hanna). Dr. Tims was used to cycle the tank and I'm preparing a 10 gallon water change.

How long ago was the dr Tim used in the tank? You can try lowering water level or put it on a stand

10 days ago on the Dr. Tims, and the skimmer chamber is built to hold water at 9inches maximum height with the skimmer raise 2 inches of the bottom of the sump (7 inches of water).

Might take a little bit of time for the skimmer to settle just because the dr tims is still fairly fresh in the system. I ran the curve 5 at around 5-6" in the past and it skimmed like a beast.
