Ozone Reactors, the definitive list?

O3 reactor technology evolves slowly as they are not as essential as say powerheads, LED lighting or protein skimming...but anyone who has used O3 appreciates how impressive it is.

Face it, using a skimmer for O3 is less than optimal. DIY is risky as O3 is an unsafe gas. Plus most DIY designs are just plain ugly...

Anyone know of anything newer??? If so, please add.

Pretty well though out design despite being 3 years old. Don't know anything about the company. Anyone know how to get one of these from Si-am ocean?

These new tubes from Avast/GSA look promising, especially with all outputs on top, plus made in the USA... how to get one???

This new one by PM is prob like all their other stuff...well made but boring (no frills)...anyone use it?

The CoralVue/Reef Octopus entry... probably lotsa bang-for-the-buck...another terrific chinese knock-off?
(I love their skimmers)

I have this one by MTC. Its pretty solid (a cadillac)...but this design is like 10 years old.

I believe you also need to have a Carbon chamber for Ozone.

You need 2 carbon reactors: one for the water output, one for the O3 gas vent.

You also need a silicate air drier for the O3 generator.

it clarifies the water much more than vodka+carbon. so more light will get to your coral.

It is also a mild disinfectant. I say that because the concentration has to be kept low in reefs. Otherwise mole for mole ozone is severalfold more potent than bleach.

It will put your (already awesome) skimmer into overdrive by breaking down DOCs and making them more skimmable...

my current ozone setup

My setup is the MTC reactor trio and Ozotech Poseidon setup from bulkreef supply. It easily keep ORP at 400, when it dips its usually because of a water change, feeding, or something died.

Its getting long in the tooth and Im looking to replace...

tallest tube in the back with mesh is the pressurized ozone reactor chamber, next thin tube is the carbon air scrubber, and short fat tube is the carbon water output scrubber.

ozone reactors are far superior to protein skimmers in the application of ozone to reef tanks.

this deal is for the reactor only, which is an ozone safe acrylic tube and mesh. this is a good quality ozone reactor and this brand is hard to come by in this hemispere.

you must provide the ozone generator and rest of the system which can be purchased from bulk reef supply at a good price.

I really want one because skimmer is not the best for ozone because the seal leaks and not enough reaction time.My cheap Ozone stop my fishes from getting infected i Also it will save a lot of fish and electricity I can't imagine how better can this be.

Also It's a plus that your fish looks like its floating in air instead of swimming because the water is crystal clear.

The more the better the shipping will be .
