I have been lacking in my attention to this forum, so I figured I ought to reintroduce myself. My wife and I moved to Tustin in August. I work at puppies 'n' guppies in Tustin (chances are I'll give you a great deal, so long as you're not a jerk). We always have good prices on fish and I won't sell you anything that'll kick off in your setup. Most of the time I will spend quite a while geeking out on reef talk, so come on in.

I've got a 40br SPS heavy tank--basics:
Acjr
4xT5 on IC660
250w XM10k
turbo flotor 1000 (upgrade sometime)
24w UV
polyreactor w/GFO
2 koralia 3s, koralia 1, maxi-mod
~5-10g fuge w/cheato 24hrs
Kalk via Tsunami ATO w/ aqualifter
barebottom

and a 12g rimless nano mixed reef:
AcJr
150w MH w/ phoenix 14k
custom rimless w/koralia nano hidden in back wall.
DIY skimmer
kalk via JBJ ATO w/aqualifter

pics of the nano when I recharge my camera.

duncan is in my nano; only 4 heads right now... with the phoenix 14k I'm getting great color... how're your duncans?:dito:

edit: I should also mention the pics above were to document a low alk event--forgot to put my kalk in and changed my GFO at the same time; alk dropped to ~5dkH from 10 or so and I got some paling, but everything seems to be recovering.

"As long as your not a jerk"

I like that Wes and tank is still looking nice
That's really only precautionary... There are a few customers who are NOT always right (no, that Acan is not $20, I don't care what some other employee "told you")

I'm happy with the tank, for only being a few months old. I started with 99%+ base rock, and most of my corals were shipped from MN, so it's still coming into it's own.

It's Bon

Sup Wes,
Tank is looking good. I was like that pic looks familiar and when I read your thread I was like that is Wes from Tustin. Good to see you joined SoCaliReef.

Hey everyone,
Wes is a good man and has an abundance of knowledge about reefing. He is like the Godfather of reefing. So, don't mess with his reef or else he will get one of his fish to whack you. JK. He really enjoys talking about reefing with all levels of reefers. He has helped me out a lot and I would like to thank him. Go see him at Puppies N Guppies in Tustin and you will see what I am writing about.

those hung around for soooo freaking long. no one wanted to pay close to $100 for a nano fish, so we blew them out at/near cost, IIRC. probably won't bring more in unless people prepay. Those two were special orders that the guy decided he didn't want. grrr. They were really neat and super healthy. missed out on a deal, man!
