Tyree toadstool fragging. IDKWTF I'm doing.

My toadstool is outta control and is blocking light on some nice acros. Is it safe to take scissors and lop off a pice inside the tank?

Other wise I have two choices that both suck. One take a 60lbs rock with 14 corals on it out of the tank and into a large tub of waiting perfect saltwater and frag it there. Or I can break the footing that took me 4 attempts to stabilize off so I can cut it outside of the tank.

Would a sharp chef knife be better for fragging it or is this an epic fail waiting to happen. I've never fragged a softy that didn't squirt it's jibs in my eye.

Yeah just cut it with some sharp scissors. Just don't go to crazy its gonna slime up and might piss off some neighbors.

I used and scaple blade or ultility knife to cut in the tank. It's sharper and give you more control than scissor or knife

hahaha! I've seen toadstool grow from just leftover bits left on the rock after it was pulled so circumsizing the tip shouldn't be a problem

just be careful cutting to much. When you cut leathers they release nasty caca that can cause warfare. Run extra carbon. Then take the pieces you cut and place them in a little container with some rubble rock in low flow area. After a week or so they will grow new foot that will attach to rubble.

yah I also use the tooth pick method. sometimes you can damage with the super glue

Here's a step by step detailed instructions on how to frag a leather

1) find some scissors.
2) cut the leather
3) glue to rock or frag plug
4) place it back in ur tank
5) ur an idiot
