My Non reef buddy has a few sketches of cartoony fish with chef gear and serving utensils and a classic silver serving tray with lid. Kinda old style French waiter service.

My question to you guys is, would it matter if it's a cartoony made up type fish? I was asking him if he could incorporate a real fish and tweek it. But I didn't want his creative side to get messed up in translation.

It should be done by Friday so there's a possibility of me having packs done by next week to a couple or one lucky LFS to increase its foot traffic. Either way they will be made at the latest by next week.

Keep it cartoony. Brand identity falls heavily with uniqueness unless you're trying to infringe on another brands identity. Which I don't think is the direction you intend to go. Something funny and unique tends to also be more memorable. Remember, we know you but some avg Joe goes into an LFS tries your product, runs out, and goes to another LFS that carries your product amongst others and forgets the name. That logo is going to be the identifier to help him remember your product and choose it again. There are already too many food products with actual pictures of fish on it. Go nutz!

this isn't meant to be a slight in any way ..

fish food isn't exactly "professional services", so the traditional professional approach is kinda out the window. the logo should instead be something eye catching to distinguish it. someone should be able to look into a LFS fridge from 10 feet away, and be able to say "OH GOOD! you guys carry the stuff that fat guy makes!"

i'd suggest big bold letters and high contrast colors.

Kick the fish out and throw a pic of a hot chick in a bikini and a chef's hat. Or just a big pic of boob cleavage. Done and you'll have the #1 selling fish food product

edit: this thread should now have a poll for hair color

  • brunette

you're welcome. chick with nice big knockers in the middle of your logo and one scrawny "angel" fish on the right shoulder and one healthy yoked out "wicked" fish on the left shoulder with a bowl of wickedfeast staring down on the nice size rack with a big smile on its face. Next stop is Shark Tank and partner with Mark Cuban and then you can take your talents to souf beach. The End

ok, i see you didn't like my first suggestion, but if there's anything I'm good at, is putting catchy phrases and run-on sentences together. So try this on for size.

"Wickedfeast.... so good it will make your fish wanna punch themselves in the face"

or

"After a long day of being vodka dosed, your fish can munch on some Wickedfeast to sober up"

or

"9 out of 10 fish say "Wickedfeast is so good, we have our sh*t pushed in just to retain as much of it as possible""""
