Hey Guys Any Input would Help...

1. Im aiming for 5x to 6x turnover rate from the sump to the main tank so around (1500 gph)
2. 4 6105's (2 on the way)
3. my skimmer is powered by 2 eheim 1260 635gph each (1270 gph)

So if I wanted to match my skimmer i need atleast 1500 gph to run the system minus the head pressure it would be around 1200 gph right?
with the 4 6105's ( i should be getting around 61x turnover rate in the main tank) does this sound right to you guys?

Good seeing your still here:) Your tanks overflow will determined what size pump you can use as main flow. Also system turn over rate is based on flow from DT back to DT with power heads not counting. Power heads move water BUT don't change waters micro structure like flowing thru a filter does. Flowing thru a open top filter adds oxygen, changes water temperature, cleans, and adds micro fauna. It also forces lower warmer DT water to surface for removal since incoming water is cooler than lower DT water. We are talking micro scale stuff we can not see but corals and fish can feel.
