you were there..? man, i could've had me some juicy everardo...? fail...

man, wish most of the forum people had name tags... i was sitting with LARS and kept asking people who that person was... a bunch of cute guys too... LOL...

if you only knew how they get to our country... LOL...

I'm sure they get tossed around from point A to point B.. But I don't think they need to get treated the same from point B to C..

they were crazy cheap.... and IMO, their entire setup was so smart... two regular tanks, a bunch of frags and corals, and prebagged fish... so smart... i think for their first time at a show, they did a great job...

it was tong's from fountain valley...

Yes smart it's a quick and fast way to get ppl in and out but for ME it's not professional.. I would prefer to know/think my could be fish wasn't picked up few times and tossed before getting sold.. Same way I'm sure you wouldn't want ur chicks tossed around.. This is my two sense of a opinion of course..

i'm a show breeder in chickens... you don't want to know what i do to newborn chicks... and i've had some chicks mailed to me before... and live chickens... same goes for reptiles... i've had all sorts of pets shipped to my house... you think they get to ride in someone's lap or a comfy back seat..??? they get kicked around an thrown from place to place...

it's all gravy... they can take being in a bag for a day or so... they can take being tossed too... i didn't see any smashed or dead fish in the bags... better than getting them in the net... tangs, clownfish, wrasse and other fish should never be handled by a fish net... to me, it was way smarter and efficient...

I heard you bite their heads off and drink the blood?

if they are born with deformities, undesirable traits or wrong color, they will be culled immediately... i do it again at 4 weeks, then again at 3 months... out of 100 chicks that hatch, i will be lucky if i keep 3-6 birds... if i'm super lucky, i will get one i can show and take 1st place... we breed for perfection...

that's a good reason... you know we're the only country that refrigerates eggs..? because they wash them and bleach them... once an egg touches water, it's no good... the water lets bacteria inside egg and rots it... i hate store bought eggs...

get some sexlinks, and build a coop... a healthy chicken lays 6 eggs in a row.. then one day off... some breeds lay better than others... some "pretty" chickens are not good egg layers...

AoA and Coral Oasis have about equal spaces. But I think neither made money. One of the AoA guys told me the timing of MAX being right after RAP Orlando hurt the turnout, and hurt their chances of making money.

Curious how the show in Florida hurts a show in CA as far as turnout?

I was surprised the turn out was so low. It seemed a lot slower than RAP.

I really like seeing vendors and having them display their products. I pretty much can guarantee I am going to get one of those Teco chillers when I upgrade.

As for livestock, I think there was some cool stuff. AoA had nice stuff as usual, and I don't think their prices were unreasonable.

I really wonder how those super high end vendors fair. I can't imagine a lot of people are wiling to shell out $200-400 a frag. I see that pricing as retail pricing, not frag swap pricing if anything.
