So I acclimated it and since there was nobody with me to hold the acclimation box, I did it myself and it escaped. The first day it was getting punked by my tangs and moorish idol. Now he's coming out, little by little. Haven't seen it eat yet.

Well, the $500 Regal is still alive and well. It refuses to eat frozen food...and it will only eat pellets. Can you believe that? Pellets! After all the stuff I had it try, it stuck with pellets. Diver's Den gave me an extension on the 14 day guarantee to another 14 days because it had a bump on it's chin, which they said was a scrape. It's still there, so I don't know. I had the same thing on my first regal and that one ended up dying. So I'm keeping a close eye on it.

Pics coming!

It's by far my favorite Angel and it's the fourth try at a regal. It's sad to say, but I invested almost $1,000 on keeping this species. ;[
I know how you feel. I have my unicorn fish as well and for some odd reason, my dumb@$$ keeps trying. lol...

Regal is still eating pellets exclusively. What can I try to feed it to entice it to eat something more nutritious?? It's driving me nuts. Never had a fish that learned to eat pellets and refused to eat anything else.

Have you tried new era marine grazers? I know its for herbivores like tangs but I see all my fish eventually eating this food. Leopard, blue star leopard, labouti, sometimes my CBB and when I had angels they also ate this food. Never had a regal but I would definitely give it a shot.
