Well...the Great group at so calireefs is awesome! This incident started when I posted in the Sponsors live sale forum - to the thread below that I wasn't coming to get my piece until the weekend - and looked forward to meeting Jose and seeing the store! I get to the I Got Corals store and my stuff is gone! Some quality socallireefs member goes to the store on Friday as I posted that I was not coming in until the weekend. The assumed socalireefs member tells the store they were duraace9sp and was here to pick up the coral. The store was surprised and said Jose wasn't there, in their defensebut they couldnt know better and the socalireefs lurker or member takes my stuff.........such a great group at this place! So I waste the day and drive time and burn a Sunday going to the store. I walk in and ask for Jose, they were embarrassed but couldn't know any different. It is obvious the socalireefs person knew he could do this....probably does often! This is a perfect example of California for all!, and yes I do and have lived here. Thanks so cal reefers!

that sucks... but LOL... it happened to someone else as well... and at igotcorals too... hahahahhaa...

that's why i LOVE pm's or text messages... even a phone call... i rather deal with them that way... not publicly, unless it's someone that's selling from home...

sucks man... i hate when there are some shiesty arse fools out on the forum...

Yeah...it's not the piece....it's the quality people ... And the wife and I burning a day....thanks to these quality wonderful people......I hope that you are proud and teach your kids how slick you are, so you can keep the quality of life going.....best!

That really is super lame and shiesty but I hope you aren't condemning all of SCR and grouping the majority of us that are genuine and helpful in with the likes of that scum. If you are ever in south county I will personally give you a free frag or two so you don't think all of us are like that.

if i had stuff to frag, i would drive down to your pad and kick down with whatever you were going to get... but i don't... yeah, there are a lot of jacked up straight thieves on this forum... don't ever post your numbers, and make all of your deals via PM's... off board...

on the other spectrum of it, there are a lot of nice reefers on here... make some friends... make a lot of friends... go to a meeting somewhere, join a club... there are some bad apples that do deserve a punch in the face with my huge silver wrench ring... but the rest are awesome... don't lose faith in the forum...

Well if ya ask me it should be simple enough to get a clue as to who the asshole is. People at stores make mistakes all the time its ok, but the person who gave your coral away can tell you exactly what the guy looked like. Post the description on here and maybe someone will know. I love a good witch hunt!!!

Really really sucks that this happened to you. It's terrible what some people will do to others, and this is a prime example. If you were in my area I'd frag you something free. I must strongly disagree with you on this reflecting on SCR as a whole. This does not represent the people on this forum. This forum has done many many great things for fellow reefers and has some very giving members and sponsors. Through donations We've replaced multiple members tanks with new ones, bought new chillers for those in need, moved and setup countless tanks, plumb an enormous amount of tanks, found members jobs, registered and smogged cars, helped members change careers when life turned upside for them, found homes for neglected fish, dogs, cats, or just found new homes for them when the loving owners fell on hard times and couldn't take care of them. I could go on and on. In fact in a couple weeks I'm helping move a tank from the ie to Pasadena and I love in the high desert. This will cost me plenty in fuel and a Saturday but it will be good times with good members on this forum so I'm happy to do it. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater man. Stick around, make some friends and join a club. You'll be glad you did.
