Hi everyone. I've been on this forum for a while and met many people through shows and buy/sell. I just want to formally introduce myself to those i haven't met yet. I've been in this hobby for about 7+ years on and off. Had many tanks. Started with a jbj nanocube and just moved up from there. Those who know me already knows how many tanks I have already. I love following hobbyist build thread so i thought i would share my build too. This is a tank I've been working on for a while, gathering parts and equipment here and there and so I finally have most of the parts to put it together.
Equipments:
Tank and stand : 60x30x24 Leemar starfire recessed Eurobraced tank with dual center overflow. Leemar cabinet stand.
Sump: 60x30x20 AA 3/4" three chamber sump with 3-7" filter socks
Main pump: Dolphin AMP Master 4750
Skimmer: Reef Octopus Diablo XS350
Controller: Apex
Doser: Vertex libra
Circulation Pumps: 2-mp40qd and 1 gyre 150
Lighting: ATI 60" 10 bulb powermodule (i am setting this up but is will to sell at reasonable offer because eventually i will upgrade to the ATI LED powermodule)
Plumbing: schedule 80 pvc tons of valves and unions.
Please be patient with the progression of this build. I'm taking it really slow with this tank. Here are some pictures. But I'll explain how this system is setup. Basically, the tank and stand is located in my living room. I wanted to get the biggest sump possible so i decided to plumb the tank to the sump located behind the wall where the tank is sitting. I made a shed for the sump outside all my filtration will be outside to reduce noise and ease of water change and maintenance.
having trouble uploading pics. i'll will try post as many pics as i can of this build.
