Took a lot of time with plumbing. Only one big pump will handle all Water distribution. Skimmer , light and mp's.. His targeting the lowest electric consumption to this build.
does that include heaters and light?
Haha i think bryan got it wrong. Its impossible for my system run with only that much power. My light alone is already 800w. just trying to make it clean with 1 big pump. Not trying to save energy when im going with t-5s.
bryan did not convince you to go radions?
i don't really like leds. All my tanks right now are running on atis. although i do have a radion setup on a qt tank. i get frustrated with the programming and all that techy stuff. My plan is to get the ati/led powermodule in the near future so i can use the leds as a blue supplement instead of adding an atinic strip to my current light.

He don't need that much light to use it all.. He'll get his corals sunburns. His sump is outside with less issue of water temp. All he need is fan. Hahaha!

Need help with substrate choices. I'm going to be doing mostly sps but i want the substrate look instead of bare bottom. I have a lot of experience with bare bottom because my current tank is bare bottom and i dont mind the look because the tank is acrylic and the bottom is white so it looks like a sand bed. This tank on the other hand is glass so when filled up its black at the bottom and i dont like that. I have narrowed it down to tropic eden argonite reef flakes vs tropic eden reef flake grand select. Could someone with experience chime in on what direction i should go? I bought a bag of each to see how big the sand is so i can buy more of one or the other and mix it.
