He was in the bag for maybe a couple hours tops. But had him in a cooler and I had ac on in the car. Water never got hot or anything. Fish seemed fine after acclimation. But in the am he was not. Sucks fish was a beautiful fish.

But anyways all is said an done Manny has turned the situation around. I'm thankful for it. I realize he did not have to but has chosen to and that is what makes a great guy.
Again, thank you for the feedback. Also please take note next time buying a fish from a person's home, water in a bag that does not have pure oxygen or a container without circulation, a fish will not last long without oxygen. In a larger tank depending on water volume your fish can survive for much longer hours maybe a day. Oxygen in a small container is much more limited. Maybe he didn't die in the bag or container due to this but definitely contributed to the added stress. Once again like I said in my texts, these are super delicate fish and I doubt anywhere would they even offer doa guarantee on these types of fish. Maybe I'm wrong. Was also a reason to prove a point why I offered you a credit of 20 vs refund of 10 and offered you a 1 week live guarantee on any fish you bought from me with the exclusion of expert only fish especially wrasses. It was a business tactic. Not only would you have more than likely bought a fish that was more money, 20 credit for a business is the same roughly as 10 refund and giving you a 1 week life guarantee on your next fish with promise to do a full refund if it died was my way to make you a customer for life. You didn't take advantage of that that's your loss as now I no longer feel comfortable selling you a fish or even fish food to be honest, but hey its life lessons learned from both parties and that's what life is all about, Learning and becoming better people.

Defenetly a learning experience. I honestly would have gladly accepted the offer for the credit. But to be honest I hardly ever go up that way any more. Only reason I was heading that way was to get a coral from Matt and I seen that fish so I was like **** wile I'm down there I could get this beautiful looking fish. And no worries on having to sell me anything anymore. I understand.

I have personally dealt both of these guys and have nothing but great things to say about either one of them, they are both very helpful guys. Yea, sometimes people aren't happy with transactions but that happens occasionally with livestock.

I agree with manny that fish bagged with 0 oxygen should not be transported far and that he is not looking to scam anyone. I purchased a mystery wrasse from him and he let me pick it up at 3am, also offered free food.

I also know Danny isn't looking to do any wrong or make a profit off of a reefer, we talked reef for awhile and sold me 5 Sps frags for $20.

I am not picking sides, but I know I am one of the only members that have met both of these guys personally. Both cool guys but sometimes things happen.

didn't want to go through all 5 pages, but did read through the first few.

just wanted to add to the mix that I've purchased fishes from Manny (as well as fish food), and have been really happy on both fronts.

had a clown tang pass on me, and Manny worked with me to get another.

i don't know of any other sellers who offer any sort of guarantee on fish simply because of how sensitive they can be, anymore than anyone who offers guarantees on corals.

I think the fact that Manny offers credit toward purchase or partial refund speaks louder than anything else.

The Moorish Idol I got from Manny I still doing great! Thanks man!
You are very welcome. Also I'm glad I talked you out of buying the achilles. If you would have taken him that day and threw him in your display I have a bad feeling him and that goldflake of yours would have gone at it and achilles would have died or gotten everyone sick with ich and taken a few fish with him. Thank you for listening

If you want a guarantee on Fish, order from live aquaria.

I should have asked for a refund on the two choati wrasses I tried a while back. Dang.

Thank you Jeff. With you I also replaced your clown tang free of charge and I'll tell you why. I fudged up! . I don't know what I was thinking but my brain farted and I forgot the tangs you had and how big they were. That clown tang was doing super well with me eating like the biggest little beast you can think of. I should not have sold you that clown tang because he was way too small for your tank / fish. I felt terrible when you told me he died and I remembered the fish you had and that's why I did what I did. I in no way at this moment offer any kind of expressed verbally or written promises of life on fish but do take things on a case by case basis. That's why I did what I did with you but it's not something I would do with everyone or every situation. Just wanted to clear that up

Yeah thanks for the good and honest advise Manny. Yup the Achille probably would have got stressed out and die. Thanks for not putting your profits before your customers:)
The Moorish idol was getting beaten up a little by my clown tang and yellow tang but he's holding his own.

Hopefully in the near future I can move this stuff in the garage and set up some other tanks I've acquired. At that point I'll be able to have fish sales on new arrivals and a seperate section for fully conditioned ready to go fish with guarantee. If you still want an achilles then I'll have one with your name all over it
