Thanks for the info. The flip side of this happens when you use a black bucket, I get insoluble white (or close to it) specs occasionally when I use SeaChem Reef. I just run my water through a brine-shrimp net as it goes into my tank so I don't have to worry about it.

+1 IC GEL is easy to use and relatively inexpensive. I've never had a problem with it and it is better than epoxy in every way I have found.

Usually the problem is oxygen; how much air was in the bag and was there any agitation to mix it into the water? Often shippers will fill the bag with water and then add oxygen (not air) to it.
