[Reposted from the Neptune Systems Community Forum] Going to Reef-a-Palooza 2013? Neptune Systems' MACNA Meetup was such a huge success that we thought we would not leave out those on the West Coast! Do you own an Apex or are you considering one? Well, you wont want to miss an afternoon event...

    Reeflo Snapper & OM-4

Snapper pump & OM-4 used for 14 months. The Snapper has minor saltspray corrosion on the casing at the motor end; otherwise, it's quiet and cool running. I cleaned & inspected the OM-4 inside about 6 weeks ago, and it's in great shape. The OM-4 comes with 2 Version 3 drums. I'll include the...

    DIY Kalk Reactor

Table saw w/ fine tooth blade specifically for plastics, router & router table, drill press, band saw, etc... everything I use are common shop tools for originally acquired for woodworking. The only special tools for acrylic work I have are the table saw blade and a $35 carbide spiral down-cut...

    DIY Kalk Reactor

Thanks everyone... I was surprised to see this old thread dredged up from the murky depths ;) Total investment in was around $45, including the AquaLifter. The use of surplus materials and a few lucky finds really kept the cost down... only the JG fittings and the stainless steel screws were...

    Aqua Controller Problem

Sage advice... when I get the APEX, I'll be selling my AC3 to a friend who currently has an ACjr. But, I will wait a while before passing it on (he's in no rush to get it), giving myself ample time to gain confidence in the APEX. Being a brand new product line, I fully expect that there will...

    Aqua Controller Problem

I'm quite happy w/ my AC3, but will upgrade to the new Neptune APEX controller soon (mainly 'cause I'm a technogeek ;) ) I travel extensively on business for up to 2 weeks at a time, so having the remote monitoring and control features is an absolutely necessity. The AC3 has been extremely...

    Aqua Controller Problem

As 5.56 said, devices which draw a very small amount of power need to be plugged into DC8 outlets #4 or #8. A K1 only draws 3.5 watts max, so definitely fits in this category.
