Well if you are growing any kind of macro algae in your sump or have an algae scrubber I've found the more turnover the better if you want to export a lot of nutrients. Since your sump is basically competing for nutrients with your main display.

I'd double check with another test , not many anenomes would survive nitrates that high for very long.

Yeah my saddleback clowns did that all the time . When I had my carpet I had a large mother saddleback that would grab any new small fish I tried to introduce and pull them straight into the carpet lol. But yeah they really freakin love there carpet nems.......

My screen is about 7x5 only grows on one side though for a 60 gal cube. I use a Home Depot led .

I have a DIY ATS . Very rarely do water changes. Basically it ends up being a trade off less water changes/ more dosing of trace elements . I find it to be much easier to run an extremely stable system with an ATS.
