I suspect your Calcium is reading too high, and Magnesium too low. Recalibrating should fix this.

    2 days no power

Oh man that's rough, I hope your livestock makes it through. You don't happen to have a battery backup or generator? Perhaps you could reach out to your LFS, see if they have a hospital tank? Or perhaps a fellow reefer could help hold your livestock (or lend generator) for the time being? tough...

Comprehensive Article About Toadstools - Manta Systems Article

Nice article, very informative. Is there a compatibility matrix of types of leather that one can have in a tank, that can help navigate chemical warfare? The article mentions Toadstools and Sinularia potentially not getting along, and using carbon for mitigation. I'm curious about other...

    Starting new tank help

I've heard that carribsea live sand is kinda a gimmick; the amount of good bacteria in the sand is questionable, and the argument could be make that it contains bad bacteria as well. If I were to start a new tank, I'd likely go with the dry sand route and pair it with bottled bacteria.

    Hanna Checker - Leaky Battery

I was able to get the battery out with a very small flathead. Replaced the battery but no luck powering on. Tried cleaning the crusted liquid on the contact lid, and the battery compartment with a q-tip. Hopefully the electronics aren't corroded.

    Hanna Checker - Leaky Battery

Recently had a Hanna Checker battery go out. Upon further inspection, it looks like the battery decided to leak. I'm having issues getting the battery out of the compartment, any tips for removing the battery without damaging the device? Is it worth reaching out to Hanna for this?
