    Aiptasia eaters

consider yourself lucky. I’ve been in this hobby a long time and can definitely tell the difference between camel and peppermint. It was peppermint that are my fungia i caught them in the act. 20 out of 60 people also agreed they are not reef safe and ate their coral on my R2R poll.

    Aiptasia eaters

because people buy them? they are popular for aiptasia control and not difficult to captive breed. Peppermint shrimp are not reef safe. I’ve had peppermints eat the center out of my fungia plate and start on a favia. I did a poll on R2R and 1/3 of people had them eat their corals.

Current Best Method to Lower Nitrate?

QT spots on PBT using Coppersafe??

ok, as paranoia said definitely want to add a decent strength powerhead angled towards the water surface to make a circular gyre flow in the tank and get good oxygenation. and a large water change is recommended. you can re-dose the meds after to their therapeutic levels.

QT spots on PBT using Coppersafe??

are you running an air stone on the QT tank? and high flow? the powder blue and brown both need well oxygenated water with good flow. I call these death spots. these fish are hard to QT. They need a big space too. 4ft long QT minimum. tank likely needs a 50% water change and the raise the copper...

could be a couple things. their could be an air pocket trapped inside. Or it could have debris in the impeller housing. Or it could be a defective pump. Next step would be to take it out, disassemble it and check for debris, take out the impeller and give it and the housing a good rinse then...

    Anthony’s Waterbox 180.5

you can set the pump on a mousepad that’s can help a bit. A DC pump is really the best way to go. they are literally silent. Sicce is still good for AC, but they do make noise. If the noise from water going into the baffle is loud, the most simple solution is to put a ball valve on the output...
