Ok... i understand that 0 tds total disolved solids does not mean 0 chlorine what i simply meant was that it contains 0 tds meaning no chlorine or anything else for that matter...and as far as i know distilled water is not pure if not bacteria will start to form have u checked it with a tds...

distilled water distilled water is for drinking...our drinking water contains chlorine which could kill ur fish... where as RO/DI has 0 tds means 0 chlorine... if ur using filtered water ur taking a chance with live stock you must have a large system or have good water movement good luck:big_boss:

Ro/di going in at 380 coming out at 20 this is still high... in a closed system you want o tds..because tds will build up in ur system lr /ls and eventully u will have algea problems:big_boss:

yeah hopefully this calcium reactor will be sufficient for my tank, dont know how many gallons its rated for my tank is a 180 plus sump probably more like 200 gallons. thanks for responce maybe some calcium reactor experts will chime in.

first off,I picked up a used calcium reactor before doing any research. just wondering how do you know how many gallons its rated for,the brand is knopp is this a good brand? any help plz:attention:
