I think its time to invest in a phosban reactor :a35:. Lot of online material says the same as cowboycove, part of new tank and should go away on its own IF nutrients are controlled. Thanks guys for the input.

I checked hydroids online and those pictures are not what I have, though there is some resemblance. Maybe its in the early stages and that's why it looks different.

It is so easy to drill acrylic. A corded drill will cost you around $30 and the bit around $10. Definitely a useful investment.
