Hello Folks, what is this growing on my LR, just started to notice it in last month or so. Its white hairy stuff present mostly in high flow area where water returns from the sump. Its def not aiptasia, looks more like GHA but white and branching.
Nitrates are 0, PO4 is less then .025. Tank is about 4 months old and I don't have any GHA that I notice.

I checked hydroids online and those pictures are not what I have, though there is some resemblance. Maybe its in the early stages and that's why it looks different.

I noticed that in my tank before a dyno break out. Not sure if they're linked. But I had that for Your a month then I had dyno. If they're not linked I had that and it went away then I got dyno. Ionno. White shirt hair looking and they had micro air bubbles?

If its an algae. 3 day full completely no light black out will get rid of it. But remember. Phosphates are introduced into the tank. It doesn't bloom on its own. So make sure if you make your own salt that your rodi is 0. Then start doing weekly 20% water changes to slowly get rid of the current phosphate. Or use some phosphate remover product .

I think its time to invest in a phosban reactor :a35:. Lot of online material says the same as cowboycove, part of new tank and should go away on its own IF nutrients are controlled. Thanks guys for the input.
