This is a friends tank. He got it while diving. It's not a strawberry anemone because those are all soft coral and I've seen them many many times while diving myself. He said this caught his eye cuz it has a hard stony skeleton like a dendro but clearly it's not. Yes it is a "cold water" coral...

I'm not exactly sure what coral species this is. Does any one have an idea?
