I'm going to be in trouble soon!

I don't plan on getting stupid right away. I plan to make my stupidity last for a long time. I won't plan on making my jump right away. Tank stand yes, within the next few months. Skimmer, I have a reef octopus right now, it's working fine. AI Hydra 52's, I have a set of Vega's I would have...

    Chiller repair

Ok so I haven't had the opportunity to run it with vinegar yet. I got sent out to NY for the week. Luis, I have 2 temp probes, one in the sump, and one in the display. By what you said, I should base my chiller function by my sump temp probe and not my display

    Chiller repair

**Update** So I actually dug a little more to find a reason why it wasn't working. I figured, I have an engineering degree, let's put it to good use. So I plugged it in and started checking the relay, fan, compressor. Everything seemed as though it should be working. I cleaned some contacts...

    Chiller repair

Just got off the phone with JBJ, if it is in fact the compressor, it cannot be repaired. They will not replace the compressor either. I have a cousin who works in hvac. I will have him look at it and see if it's the compressor. If he deems that it's not the compressor, I will take it to JBJ...

    Chiller repair

The light comes one and flashes. This is simply by plugging it in and turning the temp down to 67 deg. room temp is 71.8. First thing I noticed was the green light flashing.

    Chiller repair

Jose, its a JBJ Arctica. Just as a FYI, no compressor, display comes on. Its not the fuse, if you remove the fuse, the display doesn't come on. Sounds like it might be the compressor.

    Chiller repair

Tonight I was given a 1/4 hp chiller. From what I was told, the lights come on, but no compressor. I haven't plugged it in myself yet. But I am wondering if I would be able to get it fixed. Is there a location near me (La Mirada)? Thanks in advance! Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

Changing from durso to herbie system

What would you recommend for holding the return lines in place? Would you just pvc plumb it or would you use something specific?

Changing from durso to herbie system

I currently have a Visio 80ish gallon RR tank. It has 2 holes drilled in the overflow. One is 1.5 in. and the other is 3/4 in. I used the 1.5 for the drain and the 3/4 for the return. The 1.5 was Tee'd off to two 1 in. into my sump. I am debating going to the herbie system and drilling the...
