They are great. My big issue is that there's no way to directly dial in the flow. You can twist them infinitely and at some point they are fully open and at some point they are closed. There's no indicator to see how much flow. It's easy when there isn't a lot of media, but when the chamber is...

They do a great job, but their customer service can be downright HORRIBLE at times. My experience would keep me from ever recommending them to someone else.

people don't EVER upgrade their tanks because they bought a fish that will outgrow it. They either keep the fish despite cramped conditions, or rarely try to sell/give away to someone else or a LFS. DON'T ADD FISH NOT APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR SYSTEM!

What T5 bulbs are were you running with the giesemann? The first set of t5's I had looked great by themselves, and the MH looked great by itself, but when I combined them, I really didn't like the look. I had to swap a few t5's to get everything to look great together.

Why not sell off your livestock and start something tougher like an NPS tank or something of that nature?
