    I have a mini aquatic life protein skimmer and yes a mechanic filter HOB. The tank is much longer than 24" so I don't think I can use the stands for it...If anything, I would have to hang it.

    Is there a fish or a way to keep the sand clean? After about a week, the sand starts blooming with algae. also, what is a good light for a 12 gallon long 32 inch tank. I have a par 38 full spectrum right now and growing softies have been a challenge for me.
