    Anthia Question

Just bought an Evans Anthia, its an amazing fish and looked very healthy at my LFS. So far its doing great and eating Mysis about 3+ times a day. I know I need to supplement its diet and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or had success with a certain diet for these fish. I was...

    Need some lighting advice

I'm looking to get a new LED light for my 30 x 24 x 22 reef tank. With my budget, I think I have narrowed down my top three picks to the Maxspect Razor 16K 27 inch, the AI Vega or the Kessil a350W. My concern is coverage from the AI & Kessil. Based on my dimensions above, what would be the...

    Blue Jaw Trigger behavior?

I had a Hawaiian trigger back when I had a predator tank going and it did the same thing. It went after everything in the tank, was very territorial. I ended up giving it back to the LFS.

Should I install a check valve?

I did get it with a threaded union and gravity operated. Just tying to be safe since the tank is setup on top of hardwood floors. I'll try it and if its a problem just take it out, I think my sump can handle the reverse siphon. Thanks for the info.

    Refuge Lighting

I agree with Cylix...May be over kill, chaeto doesn't require too much light.

Should I install a check valve?

I just plumbed my new 70 gallon tank & sump. I have a check valve I bought for the return and was wondering if its even necessary to use it because the extra room in my sump has enough height to account for overflow from display tank at bulkhead level. Will it be more trouble than good?

    LED recomendations... 120 reef!

The LEDS I looked at before buying mine were the Radion, Aquatic Life Expert Series, maxspect r420r 16K or the AI Vegas. But I looked at these fixtures because my tank/cube is only 30 inches wide. I ended up buying the maxspect razor.

    LED recomendations... 120 reef!

Although I agree the AI's are nice...if your budget is $400 there is no way your doing the AI Sols or Vega's...the Aquatic Life 48 inch 72 watt fixture can be found for around $500 plus its expandable. If you want to successfully grow the stonies at mid level...then you either need to go the...
