I ordered a set if extension tubes and a reversed ring for my canon stock lens. I need to figure out aperture setting for manual and tripod next time. But this setup surprised me. I'm looking forward to what Else I can capture.

At the moment I can't afford a real ef mount macro lens for my canon sl1. I was looking at extension tubes or buying an older fd mount macro lens and adapter really ring. It seems like both options would require full manual mode. Is an older fd lens any better then tubes with regular lens?
