We sympathize, we really do. Three more brands—Maxspect, Reef Octopus and CoraVue—asked to be excluded once they caught wind of the sale. We sincerely apologize we can't be more accommodating with discounts but unfortunately we could have our supply cut off from vendors if we don't comply with their requests to adhere to the MAP agreement.

Sorry for the delayed response, but yes, the coupon could have been applied to out-of-stock or backordered merchandise.

I have to admit you guys are playing with our emotions with all the good stuff being ineligible for discounts and whatnot. I need an apex and some vegas. You're killing me! Lol

Yeah, it kinda stinks all the high-end gear you'd want to pick up during a site-wide sale have MAP pricing, since those same items would be where you'd really get substantial savings. We understand why manufacturers enforce MAP. Of course, as hobbyists and avid online shoppers, we sympathize with the consumer... especially since we're talking with you guys all day long.

Hydor theo 400 watt. I actually used the price matching on that cuz it saved me more $$. My old heater would stay on which is why I had a choice between an APEX to control temp or buy a new heater.. I figure the controller will always be available for that price unless its "on sale" so there was no rush.
On another note, I bought a koralia and some food the day before with the 10% off and Dan was the customer service rep that helped with my order and he was quick, helpful and did a great job!
