It's still running. I have an Innovative Marine Fusion Skimmer in there and it gets gunk out. I had a lot of algae problems in the beginning, but now, the tank is pretty stable and established and I'm not having any algae. I do 2g water changes a week, although it's been almost two weeks without a water change due to being busy. Everything I put in it is doing good except some "rainbow" acans and my rose bubble anemone that shrunk up and bleached. I can't get it out of the tonga!

I highly recommend this tank. It's been fun to work on. If you have the space, I'd get a bigger fusion so you can get more fish and more aquascape capabilities.

I have a lightning maroon and a goldstripe in this tank and they BOTH hide like dummies. So I barely see them. I also have a randall's goby and a pistol that refuse to pair. All these guys suck. Haha

Anyway, go for it! It'll be a fun little build and can be managed with small weekly water changes--maybe two weeks if you wanna push it with a skimmer. I'll take a picture when the daylight goes on tomorrow.

Nice! Yeah would love to see it, how is that light for corals? And do you just rely on water changes? no dosing?

The Nano Box is awesome. Seriously the best LED I have ever owned when it comes to color rendition. It'll grow anything. And I just do wanter changes. No dosing.

So I ended up going with the 20 in anticipation of an upgrade a few months down the line! :a39:
Awesome dude! Saw the post you made earlier....Going with a nano box duo for a tank like this isn't too economically feasible when you have something like the hydra 26 that covers a 24x24 area for $269. The mini is a good price point when you consider the kessil a160+controller or the hydra26+controller+rail/mount, but it loses it's price point on a bigger tank due to coverage (18x18).

I have the IM ghost skimmer and like it, although I keep having to adjust it after a few weeks when the water level fluctuates and it stops producing skimmate. The neo therm heaters are good because they're thin. And I'm running a single switch tunze on mine which works great. Not much more to it than that, I think.

Yeah I had that problem with mine on my 30g NUVO too, although I think it was primarily because the fitment was crap and even though they advertised it working, it really didnt, it had no way to fit secure in the overflow chamber. I think I might try the XR15 route, but im still undecided.
