May I ask why you say not to use thicker than 1/4" foam? I bought thicker foam for my 8' tank but could change it to 1/4" if needed because my tank is still empty.

Oh well if that's the only reason, I'm good cuz the moulding on my stand will cover it. But I'd still like Tony to confirm that's the only reason why he said not to use 1/2" so I know I'm not making a huge mistake. Lol

I think 1/4" foam is the better than use 1/2" foam underneath. The looks is so funny when the tank sit on the 1/2" foam without molding to cover. I think 1/4" foam is the best to use to put underneath the tank incase you do not have molding to cover. I like 1/4" foam better than 1/2" foam.

Im in the hardest decision i have to make, I will have to go for business trip for over 3 month, noone take care my tank, im think about break it down, but its hard to do it. Damm this is tough decision for me. I have 2 month for thinking about this, so Im still enjoy it right now.These are some of my favorite coral in my tank
