I am currently dosing Tropic Marin original balling salts for cal and alk and have noticed that part B (alk) is leaving hard white crusty crap on the end of and inside the dosing tube at the sump.
Ill try to get a pic of it later.

Any have this issue with any 2 part and is there a way to prevent it?

Its getting old cleaning the tube every week.

Neither. Its at the top lip of the sump about a foot above water level
Not really sure then. That used to happen to me because when I turned off my return the water level in the sump would rise and touch the end of the tube. There would be a build up but then I moved the tube hold to another area and the problem was solved. After a long time the tube would have a white film inside but nothing that clogged the end of the tube.

How close are the tubes together? Are the supplements touching each other?

I use BRS 2 part and my alk side will crust up 2 but I do not need to clean it out. It is from the evaporation of the alk solution at the tip and the remaining soda ash is basically a salt so it builds up over time. its the same as salt creep. I set mine to run like 6 times a day with smaller amounts of alk so its flowing something every 4 hours and I never need to de crust it. it is crusty but its still open.

This plus when the dosing occurs, the drip also splashes upwards and that tends to build up. I have a crusty sump too. This is normal. lol
