Long story...only 3 sides starphire and the back is not. I can flip the overflow to the inside but the viewing pane won't be starphire which kinda defeat the purpose. It doesn't bother me which I thought it would be in the beginning. I bought the tank when it was built already for 1/3 of the cost.
Looks good. Also wondering why u didn't put the overflow on the side against the wall??

while understandable as you didn't put in the order for the tank, i have to wonder why they didn't put star fire on either long pane, when it's a peninsula style build.

Either way, nice looking tank. Subscribed for future progress.

One of the long panes is star fire and pane inside is not. The overflow was in the center before and Eddie/cadlights moved it to the side for a client so they can make it into a peninsula style tank. Don't ask me why.

Gotcha. I dont mean to disparage your tank (I have cadlights and have some issues with its construction)

As long as you're happy, I can respect that. And your scape is nice. What do you plan on keeping-sps or lps?

Probably mix reef for now. SPS on top and then lps/softies/nems toward the mid and bottom. Maybe a school of anthias in the new future. Trying to stay away from tangs/butterflies, don't want to deal with ich anymore. Just killed my 8" vlamingi tang. RIP :(

Current livestock:

2 picasso clowns
2 b/w clowns
1 onyx clown
1 fire shrimp
1 cleaner shrimp
1 lytail anthia
school of blue/green chromis
2 carpet haddoni nems

Bored from working from home so here are some updated pic after 6-7 months later.

Everything is doing well but the color is not there yet. I think the calcium reactor does wonder to this tank. Will never set up another tank without one. Purple algae covered like the whole bottom of the tank. I did have a cyano bacteria problem like the first 2 months and then after the purple algae took over, it was completely gone. The maintenance for bare bottom is extremely easy and fast.

Full tank shot covered with purple algae.

Most of the corals started from frags.

Got this chalice from Arnel when it was like a quarter size.

Paly grandis started out with two polyps now it has more than 10+

Pocci also from Arnel half the size.

Meteor shower encrusting to the LR

Brought this back from the dead, total of five that are coming back nicely and thriving. They were 6"+ before I went to Europe last year. When I got back they were the size of a quarter and all bleached out. They're all came back nicely.

Got this puppy when it was half an inch. Both frags have grown to a mini colony.

While taking the pics, I noticed some eggs on the rock. It's seem like a complicated process to raise them so I'm not going to try. :)

This red nem almost double in size.

The red cap is the piece I got from you. It is 4 times as big now. Do you remember the name of the stick you sold me? I think it's blue tort but not sure. It's in the back so I can't take a good pic but it colored up real nice and it's double the size. How is ur tank doing?

I Like the bright green carpet
