bleached...
my LFS used to get a bunch of these before i told him they were bleached and a bit unhealthy... at the wholesalers they have a bin full of these... some are rose too... and they sell them for 5-7 bucks because they know they are unhealthy... but because they are bleached doesn't mean that it's gonna die... in 5 months, if you don't feed it a bunch of food, it will color back up... e. quadricolor only comes in three color variations... green, burgandy and red and are always solid colors...
btw, that one is going to be burgandy with green tips... very nice...

I'm gonna have to disagree with you gumb. I'm well aware of what a bleached nem looks like.. and they don't intensify their color when they bleach.. they lighten.. hence the term bleaching.
Also it sounds like you're basing your opinion based on generalizations of color. What about the blue nem at ali's? Or the highlighter yellow at coral gazers? My point is that they most certainly come in different colors, the 3 you spoke of are just the most common color variations of the bubble tip nem, or e. quadricolor, if it makes you feel smarter.

anyways... if you really want to break it down, there are only two variation sub species of e. quadricolor... true rose and green... each one of them can have a million colors... but there are still only two species...
and i know a think or two about nems... that dude, is bleached... the one on chad's avatar, is bleached... all of the ones at the wholesaler in that huge container, are bleached... like i said, it's nothing bad... but i don't like how people are getting the wool pulled over their eyes... yes it has a bit of green... yes it has some of the zooxanthellae algae still in there... but it's not going to stay that color in your DT for ever... but that depends on your husbandry... i have had success in keeping a neon yellow bta by keeping it bleached in the past... i just fed it a lot, and kept it shaded... but it walked and turned into a gbta...then i just gave it away because i got a bunch of rbta for my bta tank...
