That is really impressive as is the really cool polyp extension. I have added angels to my reef and that has diminished daytime polyp extension.
Yeah I know they're notorious polyp nippers. I used to have an atlantic pygmy angel and a flame and they were good, fed them lots and had enough sps so the nipping never got to a detrimental level. Beautiful fish and very active! Which angels did you get?

SC orange passion tenuis

Weird form for sc orange passion. They seem to grow differently, encrust in a circular pattern and then send branches out concentrically. Probably just unique flow pattern in your tank. Cool. Plus I'm far from an expert on any corals growth pattern

I have a majestic, imperator and potters. Got them when the tank was less happy and I have always liked them. Now that the tank is happier, I think I prefer daytime polyp extension over Angels.

Water flow in my tank is a strong gyre, flows left to right. Both tenuis that I have on that rock have grown the same pattern - up and towards the right. The tank flow definitely impacts the growth of my coral. I just added a gyre 150 on the left side so it gets an even stronger left to right surge every 45 seconds.

Indeed nice anem....what type is that? Where did you get it and if you don't mind me asking how much it was?
OH sorry for the late reply, just noticed you had a question. It was a flame/inferno nem from Cuttlefish and corals in Portland. I grabbed it when I stopped in after a business trip. Really cool shop, good prices & SPS selection. It has been really happy and healthy. I spoke with the owner a few weeks ago and he said I may be the last person with this nem as the others people bought were finicky.

After seeing the cheato reactor from Pax Bellum, https://reefbuilders.com/2016/03/01/unique-corals-unveils-new-pax-bellum-n12-a-nano-chaeto-reactor/. I decided to build my own. I have my sump in the garage and it stays insulated So I did not just want to add a light over the sump and a new chamber to grow the cheato. That would be too simple and no much fun. Here is what I came up with, only it is currently running in a 5g bucket w/ a pump and heater and does not have any leaks, however the LED strip lights that were labeled as "waterproof" are not really. I looked further into waterproofing ratings and I need a IP68 or higher rating. The LED strips I used are IP65 and on the back side of the strips they have copper contacts that are only sealed with some 3m double sided tape, so they will probably rust in a month or two as the tape degrades from exposure to salt water. I just ordered some IP68 rated LED strips so I will switch mine out and see how they work. Will keep everything in a bucket until I can ensure no copper or other exposure to the salt water.

I think you've got a better design with the LED's lighting in than the Pax Bellum, now clean it up and have some one manufacture them for you overseas.
