250w MH too much for a 22g with 13" depth?

Will be a 60/40 ratio of lps and sps. The fixture I plan on using will be 250w MH and 24x4 t5. T5s will be on 8 hrs and mh for 4-5 hrs.

I think the 4x24 will be enough. I had great growth and color in my 30Wx22Hx12D with 4x24. And you'll save some money on the electricity bill.

If u want to use what you have, 250w mh 10-14k 5-6hrs per day, plus 2 of the T5 actinic 10hrs per day is a proven combo, even on your current tank size. You might need to shade some LPS under rocks. Mogul MH is once yearly $70 bulb change and you can stretch T5 actinic to 8-10months. & you still get the shimmer with explosive growth. Youll need a chiller. For comparison, look at the current tank of the month with is 50g but has 300 watts of mh hqi + 200 watts of radion LED.

So I'll be better off with 150w if I still want to stick with mh?
