i was wondering if 2 250w metal halides would be good for my tank my tank is 6ft long and 30 inches tall also what is the difference between a retro fit and a regular mh light any help would be great Thanks

I have a 5 foot long tank and I run 2 250's and this works great for my tank.

I would do 3x250 and t5's supplement. just my opinion.

my tank 58x30x30 im runing 2x250 DE 20k xm with lumen maxelite reflectors and 4x54 t5's.

if you have room and the money to spend on the power it is good. I meant I have 3 MH on my tank from the post above. If I had the extra funds I would go with 400 w radium mh

you can do 2 you will have to do some research on a good reflectors that has a 3 foot coverage.... there out there just need to do some research.

and retro fit and a regular mh, is all about how they look. Retro kits are made to be hidden in a canopy also cheeper and "regular" one are finished on the out side so there easier on the eyes.

does this mean your aggressive tank is going to become a reef ??

haha yes it does after looking at other tanks and filling the up the fuge i looked at the nano cube and its just not going to cut it lol just have to convince the gf but dont worry i all ready have it planned out "babe it will make the fish feel like they are in the ocean sun and moon cycle" lol we will see how it goes
