3 Gallon Pico Reef

Hey everyone,

Thought it would be cool to document the progress on my new pico reef setup. The plan for this tank is to be either a SPS or zoa and mushroom pico. The next step for the build will be lighting, which should arrive this week.( Going with a DIY led fixture) More info as the build continues. School semester ends next week and work is slow during the holidays so there should be plenty of time to get the build finished.

Love this! Looks like a mini 50 cube the stand makes the setup! Would be cute with a Nem and a pair of clowns.. Or a mini bonsai rock covered in zoas

Thanks guys. I'm pretty pumped on how it's turned out so far. I got the tank from discount tropical fish for 20 dollars and it came with a thermometer and the small hob filter in the picture. I built the stand out of model airplane wood used for rc planes and then sealed the wood with a water resistant stain.

Finished the light fixture today. Hopefully my led supplies show up this week and I can mount them on the fixture!
