Hey everyone I was indecisive about actually starting a build thread.

Like the title says it's a 34 gal cube it is 24 1/2 by 24 1/2 by 14 tall but water level is at 12in, been wanting to set up a shallow cube just love the way shallow tanks look and this set up will give me a chance to look at it from the top down :)

Equipment I plan on running:

1. 6 bulb Aquaticlife t5 fixture (came with set up, but I really want an ATI fixture but have to save up for that lol) Will be using ATI bulbs though. With blue LED suppliments

2. Mag 12 return (also came with the set up) I think it's a bit over kill but might make it work, will have the reactors hooked up to it as well and might not need powerheads in the display. We shall see.

3. Want to get the BRS dual reactor (carbon and GFO)

4. MP10w ES if needed

5. Thinking of going with the Reef Octopus XP- 1000sss used to have this skimmer and loved it :)

6. Might get a Reef Keeper lite.

Trying to keep it a simple set up. The plan is to be a Zoa/polyp and LPS dominate tank :)

Here are some pics of the set up and aquascape I'm going with :) IMG_00001749.jpg IMG_00001750.jpg IMG_00001765.jpg IMG_00001762.jpg IMG_00001764.jpg

nice start.
Mag 12 is overkilled for this setup and not energy efficient. I would use small powerhead for return pump (like maxijet 1200) when you have mp10 for this setup.
Nice rock work.

yea I think the mag 12 is overkill lol just came with the set up the last owner made 3 loc lines on the return wall for the same reason but I mean I was planning on putting a frag tank in the same system so the Mag 12 would be running the DT, frag tank and reactors but not sure if I'm going to keep the Mag 12 yet. And I will only use the MP10 if it's neccesary but don't think so

So I decided to use a 10 gal sump instead of the cube sump just to spare some room under the stand. The tank finally touched water yesterday (sunday) but forgot to check all the bulk heads and one of them had a bad seal so it was leaking thru so I had to drain most of the water to replace it but I have to go get it today.

Also decided to take the water fall wall that was on the back wall didn't really like the look so I took it off. Gave me a lot of space. Check out the pics.
