I have a hood. will they get too hot under there? And can they rest on the sides of the tank or what?
Also, don't know much about lights, are they good for corals, any kind... I need new lights, but i don't know what to get and don't have much money but my birthday is soon!!! lol 27 days!

they shouldnt get too hot if u cut some slots in the hood for air and have a fan blowing.....they dont give off a ton of head like MH but they might raise water temp a little bit and depending on the size of ur tank they would be able to sustain any corals easily...the wattage is well over 200watts
