I told the seller I thought the asking price for it was $500. He told me he posted $1500 earlier. I just wanted to double check if I was seeing things wrong or was the seller trying to play me.

He's trying to play the fiddle and not doing to well. Did you want the whole setup? Livestock and all?

Yup, I saw $500 for the whole setup ( equipment and livestock ) but there's a catch to it. I sent a pm just for a calcium reactor and it was price $200 right away while the whole setup is being sold for $500 so I thought about just buying the whole setup but a few hours after everything change.

Yes my buddy wanted the whole thing. My buddy ask me to offer him $450 for everything since he is kind of far away from my buddy. The seller responded "$1,000 bottom. I can sell you the rock and sand for $450". Then he said "you must be new to tanks". I don't like calling anyone out or saying much. But I felt insulted by his comment and was pissed off.
