just so you know... It is actually bigger than a 50g it is actually 58g (Not including the overflow space) Just letting you know!

Nice tank!

Good luck with the sale.

Well, my bad on the measurements, but inner dimensions are closer to 18.5 X 18.5 X 34.5. The glass is 5/8" so it's not a standard 50, but I don't think it's 58 either. It was actually sold to me as a 40 breeder, so imagine my surprise when I brought it home and measured it!!

Anyway, it's been with me for about 2 years and it's a nice size for a small reef.

this is a great tank and a great price! if i didn't have the same one already i'd be jumping on this! :)

i did jump on it as soon as i saw it. its about time i saw a tank or coral i wanted before it sold.. lol.
its going to be set up in my living room i think. i may even give the stand a sanding and new stain. not sure yet.

what lights do you have over it? hows the light penitration?

Lights are not included on this setup anymore, sorry for the confusion. Originally it was a complete setup, then I updated the post for part out and lights, chiller and skimmer were sold so only remaining items are tank, stand, sump and pumps.

A 36" T5 4 or 6 bulb setup would work on it, depending on what you want to keep. I ran 2 X 150W MH + 4 X 39W T5, and that was plenty of light for SPS, I've also run it with a 250W MH so there are many possibilities depending on what you want to keep.

i have a tek 6 bulb 39w over it and i'm very happy with it. corals are happy, and the tank doesn't get too hot, but i do have to have chiller. and the light penetration is great, really bright at the top and bottom. can't go wrong with t5s imo :). good luck with the tank, put up pics of you getting it set up!

i would like to find a light setup like this but i can find a cheap one. anyone know anyone selling lights for good price?

and i did understand that the lights are not inculded but thanks for clarifying anyways. :) cant wait to pick it up.

do you think a single 150w double end MH will light it good? it has 2 24" 14w T5's on the side but they are actinic. i could make one or both daylight i guess but i still would want the blue you know.
