72x30x24 build thread with super iphone pics

So its calmed down a bit and we are able to start the new build!:a32:

We are hoping to have the Tank on one side of the wall and place the sump etc on the other side.

First up is building the stand. Went to Ikea and found some really nice textured wood. I like pictures more than I do walls of text but if you have any specific questions or suggestions let me know.

No Ikea will sell large slabs of wood so you can use them for projects like Kitchen counters for example.

So the first coat of the stain went on.

Then the second coat.

Meanwhile UPS delivered a package today!

How come the you have the staggered track under the stand? Is that to hold different sized sumps in place?

It appears that I have a weird hole sizes in our aquarium. I think I need 2 of the ¾” bulkhead using a 1.5” hole

I am leaning towards using the Fish heads reel reef live rock Has any one used this stuff before? What are your thoughts?

This seems like a great way to go. I wonder who sells it and what it costs... do you know?
