75gl Marine Reef, soft corals and Marco Rock that is now live rock.
Brain coral, green, large - $50
Acan - $15/head
Large rocks of assorted soft corals, pulsing zynia, mushroom corals, zoanths - $50 - $75 per rock depending on what's on them.
Mated clownfish pair - they used to spawn every couple of months but it has been a few months since - $75/pr
Yellow Tang - been in here 7 years, healthy - $25
Red lobster/coral shrimp - $15 (if we can catch him)

You need to come get them with your cooler - no shipping.
Everything is healthy and disease free - nothing has been introduced into the tank for about 5 years.

Located in Placentia - PM or post with inquiries. Once the livestock is gone the rest of the setup will get sold or parted out. Loved having it, but over it. ;-)

I haven't put a price on it yet. I guess it depends on if it's parted out or taken whole.
My build thread from 8 years ago is in my history - glass sump, bubble magus skimmer, Eheim pump, power heads, chiller, bean-animal drain system, and a custom made cabinet with 4-tube T5 lighting in the hood.
What do you think it's worth? Everything still works great.

Would you mind posting a picture of the brain coral that is for sale? I think I see one in your photo, but not sure that is the one listed.

That's the one - there's only one and it's pretty big - about 6-8" long. I can get a better pic of it tonight and will post up.

Here's my original build thread: http://www.socalireefs.com/index.php?threads/new-75-build-in-oc-intro-howdy.18523/

Sorry, it looks like a lot of the photo links are broken, or it's just photobucket on the fritz again. They should still be up - the folder is still there.

This tank has been virtually trouble free and self-maintaining for the past 8 years. Once or twice a month I'll siphon off detritis and algae into a 5gl bucket and top up with new marine salt water. With the auto-top-off reservoir it maintains itself.

It still grows too much algae, but I ran out of kalkwasser a long time ago and then helped keep it at bay. And I've been reticent about getting regular water changes done - so that doesn't help either. And my sock of GFO ran out a long time ago and that kept the phosphates at bay, so now it's an algae factory. LOL I clean it up and it does really well again for awhile, but there so much phosphates in there now you could never get it all out. Breaking it down and re-setting it with that live rock would make a killer reef tank again. The T5 lighting is a nice balance - I have some blue atinic and red spectrum too, I forget what all the names are - but plenty of light. They've been really good too - likely only replaced the tubes each once or twice over the past 8 years. The ehiem pump is a tank - it just keeps going and going and going. I see in my notes it's a 1260.

The mushroom corals have virtually taken over. The brain coral is doing great, and the acans went nuts. The zenia kind of died off, but still active in low light areas where there's lots of flow. The original fish are still thriving - they get frozen brine shrimp finished on green algae, and some high protien dry pellets. As mentioned, the clowns would span about a inch and a half patch of eggs every couple of months. Of course they would hatch and disperse, and get sucked down the sump or eaten. Would have been nice to have a nursery tank to raise them.

Here's a batch of clown spawn...

Wow you guys...inbox flooded. LOL
I'll try to get back on them, but too many to sort through and too many wanting the same things.
Ive since found out what I thought was brain coral is a BUBBLE CORAL - it's fairly large, about 6-7" long and on it's own rock - it is not spoken for as of yet.
What I thought were acans I'm told is a 'lobo' - it is sold.

There are a lot of rocks here and a lot of coral. I'm thinking just do an open house Saturday, come over if you want some of it, bring your cooler or bags, and let's clear this thing out. Noon to 4pm Saturday? Text me for address: seven one four - four zero three - four nine two nine.

Here's a vid I took this morning...

Here's a current pic from last night...
Bubble coral is sold, Lobo brain coral sold, fish are pending. Others arranging to come by to have a look. Lots of large live rock covered in soft corals, and some smaller pieces as well.

If I haven't addressed an inquiry or pm post up again and I will try to answer questions. My inbox and phone have been blown up. LOL Evidently reefing in so-Cal is alive and well!!! Thanks for all the interest.

Does anybody want the tank and stand, equipment?

Okay, lots of activity - thank you. About half the corals are gone, and the fish are supposed to go tomorrow. There are still some large pieces of live rock covered with soft corals - so text me if you want to come by tomorrow and take a look at what's left.

If I haven't replied to a pm or text please respond here or send it again. I had more than I could get to - most everything is spoken for.

Thanks again guys. A great community!

So far we've had some nice reefing peeps come by and buy up all the fishies and all of the major coral pieces. What is left now are what I would call deluxe live rock - it's covered with coraline algae, some mushroom and pulsing zinnia corals, and ready to make an instant reef tank setup and cycle. Your bio-rock is waiting. :)

Here's what's left - text or pm me for large pieces - $5 each. There's about a dozen large pieces.

Thank you everyone that showed up for some corals and fishies...we got 'er done.
Tank is cleaned out and empty. It's remarkable after all these years.
I'll post a new for sale thread for the hardware. Somebody should really pick this up for a show tank - it's has everything to make a great reef setup. It was very satisfying and successful.
