I’m out of town and just check apex and found temp is 87.1.
Nothing I can do. I’m three hours away, highest it’s ever been is 81. Will everything be dead when I get back?

I’ve had mine up to 85 with no I’ll effect but that was all soft coral and some LPS.

If you have a trusted neighbor or family member close by I’d have them come ice down the tank, ASAP.

It was 107 in Anaheim yesterday. If you have access turn off your lights and anything you can that adds heat like a UV. The problem is it is supposed to be hot again through wed. If the tank did not cool down over night it is likely it will get even hotter today.

Yesterday was pretty gnarly, 108 in Garden Grove for a short period before we got some cloud cover in the afternoon.

Yeah I came home to my tank hitting a high of 86, fish weren't stressed and sps was only slightly bugged. All softies fine. My tank temp settled down very slowly, dropping to 80 around midnight.

Lost a few sps. Totally rtn on a few- fish were fine.
I got home late. Found the ac not running in the fish room. Got it back on. Hit 88.2 degrees at its highest. Was up until 4am- temp was down to 84- and on a downward trend.

this morning it was 80- still trending downwards.

got home today- breaker blew on half the fish room. Causing frag tank to back syphon (check valve failed) and empty frag tank all the way down to 1inch of water. Almost everything in frag tank died. Two clowns and a scopus tang survived for the fish.
Many corals either already dead of very bad shape probally going to die.

also through the breaker ping- my EB8 outlets show on but no power. One AI Prime won’t work. With power off- tank went back up to 82.7. Been home about an hour. Got the frag tank Re-filled got ac back on, and temp already coming down to 82.

ive been controlling temp with AC. But maybe it’s time I hooked chillers back up. It’s a window mount ac- has been working fine but now with power overload and poping breaker im worried to use and rely it.

idk.

Been a rough day…

Over flowed sump and Dumped about 30 gallons on the floor too….

Good times over here…. Feeling pretty discouraged and disappointed.

I guess one good thing- found my algae blenny in frag tank Alive too. So only lost a six line, a springer damsel, and a purple basslet for the fish.

my 9 year old clowns survived thankfully. Plus the scopus and the algae blenny.

So this ai prime is in thermal protection mode. But it was off for a long time. It’s cool and Fan works- it connects to app- but just has the logo solid red- and won’t turn in. Can’t get it out of thermal protection mode.

the breaker tripping seems to have ruined the EB8 and this AI Prime.

I have a replacement relay for the EB8- going to try to take it tomorrow to be installed. But damn. What a bummer.

luckily I had all wires and plugs off the floor, probably saving a lot more equipment. This is the biggest flood I’ve had since I got in the hobby. I had to add about 30-35 gallons back to the system. Fish room was so humid- there is water dripping down the walls … so this isn’t over yet, but atlease I got things back working.

Idk. Just feel like shit over all this. Thought I was ready for anything but apparently not so much. The frag tank is connected to main system. It has a check valve- I put a new one last October- so less then a year and the One time I need it- it fails.

Check valves always fail eventually! They should me serviced or replaced on a regular basis. Better yet, redo system without them. Then shut power off abd test, adjust and test again untill right.

Bummer man but happens to the best of us.

Sounds like it’s all trending in the right direction.
