I'm bringing my old DIY ATS back for a new tank that's cycling atm. Just have a clamp on LED flood light, 5k I think. Skimmers, IME, aren't sufficient. I gotta check out your site for LEDs.

Sound AIO. Yes those back compartments can have a lot of room.

5k is too cool for algae; try changing to 2700k "warm". Or if LED choose 660nm "deep red".

I have one in my overflow and it works great! I have a DIY thread on R2R on it. Cheap ($25.00) red and blue LED grow lights work great.
