Richard & I made the long drive out to Ventura yesterday because Aaron (MimicOcto8) always posts up some of the wildest SPS I've ever seen and doesnt charge big $ for them. I had to see it in person to believe it. Upon arriving, he was very friendly and walked us through his set-ups. His tanks were awesome! Tons of stuff I had not seen before, large colonies that he had grown out from little booger frags. The best part were the prices for some of the frags, nothing there was over 30$ some of the frags looked like stuff I wouldve seen at Reef Raft (high-end stuff). Frags were all healthy and over 1" w/ multiple branches and encrusted over the plugs. The other reason I am leaving good feedback is that the frags actually look as good as the pictures of the mother colonies, none are bleached out/browned out or anything.

Instead of just handing me a bunch of styro cups at the front door and telling us to move on, he let us pick out the frags we wanted from the frag tank and told us about his water parameters, tank crashes, favorite pieces etc.

If this guy were closer, the IE and OC people would have to upgrade our tanks to make room for all the frags we would want.


MimicOcto8 is an A+++ seller !!! I highly recommend buying frags from him- here are some pics of the corals that he had ( i pre-paid for 3 frags initially but went home with 8) you should PM him for some pics of the frags & colonies he has available. Maybe we can all do an IE & OC group buy

Nope, but i did get to see the colony!, it really is unique! I got a frag last year, luckily it survived my crazy alk swings. Doesnt grow super fast though....
